Chukar Challenge – January 25, 2026

The Rostraver Sportsmen Club & Conservation Association will host a Chukar Challenge on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the club grounds located at 559 Cedar Creek Road, Rostraver, PA 15012.

This event features competitive field trials for both pointing and flushing dogs, including dedicated puppy divisions for dogs 18 months or younger. Each run consists of 3 birds in a 15-minute field, with ribbons awarded to the top three finishers in each division.

Divisions Offered:

Singles Pointing – $70 (limited to 44 entries)
Singles Flushing – $70 (limited to 25 entries)
Puppy Pointing – $65 (limited to 12 entries)
Puppy Flushing – $65 (limited to 12 entries)

Important Notes:

All retrieves are scored as partials
E-collars are permitted

We will need members to volunteer and help out with this event. This event will qualify as meeting your membership volunteer service requirement.

We will need help in the following areas.

Bird Planters - need 2-3 volunteers
Registration Table - need 1 volunteer
Kitchen - need 1 volunteer to coordinate the food and 2 volunteers to assist
Prepared Food/Covered Dishes. Need enough food to feed up to 50 people. More than one member can contribute to an item. We will let you know when there has been enough of one item donated. Please indicate how much of an item you are donating.

Vice-President We now have plans for the morning. I may be able to stop up after lunch to help as needed and for cleanup. If our plans change, I may be able to come by earlier to help. Will you be posting a schedule for expected start and end times?

DanSaffer I just tried the link, and it worked. But you can get to the same place as the link by going to the RSCA website, select About, then select Chukar Challenge, and then scroll down the page to Chukar Challenge Registration.

I will be posting the rules and scoring in a few days as there are number of first timers registered for the event. Good to see some new blood getting involved with these chukar challenges.
