What does "unforeseen circumstances" mean? Is this a club insurance issue as discussed at last night's monthly meeting or some other club issue?

Also, since this was our major fundraising event and looked forward to by many club members and others, will the public be notified as well?

DanSaffer Not due to any insurance issue or some other club issue. The Chiristmas ticket is our major fund raiser. Jason has taken care of notifying the public. It’s unfortunate this has happened but not unusual for an event to be cancelled. I’m sure the board will come up with another fundraising event to compensate for the loss of this event.

As usual you didn't answer my question. What was the unforeseen circumstances that led to having to cancel the event the morning after you announced it at the monthly meeting?

DanSaffer It’s a personal issue that will prevent me from organizing/coordinating the event. The club President is aware of my situation.
